I’m proud to share that my documentary short film, UnBound, is a official selection for the Deep in the Heart Film Festival in Waco, Texas! The story is about a woman in Texas who was brave enough to open up about her experience being trafficked for 4 years. She was rescued by law enforcement, when the anti-trafficking organization UnBound helped support her transition into life outside of the sex trade. Now she’s working for that same organization. I’m honored that the festival committee selected this film to screen at the Waco Hippodrome Theater on Friday, March 29th at 1:30pm. Thanks to everyone who helped the film come together! While it is a project I filmed and edited, there are several staff members at UnBound who offered their expertise to highlight this underground problem and who are currently helping to fight it. I’m also grateful for everyone who has contributed feedback and support, and excited that this important story will be shared with the community.
